chipped tooth

So yesterday I had a meeting at the school to discuss the upcoming spring fling. While I was in the meeting kaelina, Emily and Jacob were outside on the playground playing. I think I was only in the meeting for maybe 20 minutes. I come out and see that Emily has a fat lip and is kinda bleeding. I take a closer look and I see that her front tooth is chipped and a little bit wiggly. She already lost that tooth so if she loses this one than she won't have a tooth. That annoys me. So I guess I will be calling the dentist today so he can take a look at it.

Bowling award ceremony...2009

Well the winter league of bowling ended on a good note... It's hard to see but here is all the trophies.
This is hellen...she runs the show...She is a great coach. She loves kids and the kids love her. She takes time to teach each child the tools they need to bowl a great game.
This was a total shock to all of us, all three of the kids won scholarships for college this year. (last year kaelina won 50 dollars in scholarship for college) So when Jacob was called up I couldn't believe it. He won 75 dollars. Then at the very end of the ceremony Kaelina, Emily and Jacob were called up. They each won a 50 dollar scholarship because they sold the most raffle tickets earlier this year. So to all who bought one...Thanks. So If you didn't keep track....That is 275 dollars in scholarship money for the kids. Just for fun I'm gonna break it down for you...AGAIN. Kaelina won a total of 100 dollars. Emily won 50 dollars and Jacob won 125 dollars total. HOORAY...Good job kids.

We had talked about not going back for at least a season...but after the award ceremony the kids are amped up and ready to start another season on may 11. Who am I to stop them...Hey whatever money they can wrack up for college, I'm not going to stop. So every Monday (probably for the rest of my life....LOL) I will be at the bowling alley...

update

I took Jacob in for his appointment and the Dr said that the area shouldn't be red and it shouldn't hurt like it does so he put Jacob on some antibiotics and said everything should be OK. Hopefully that is how it will work out...

Bullards bar hike...4/26/2009

This is an old jail....I cracked me up...Just in the middle of the town. Inside you can see a wooden frame for a bed. On each side of the walls there is windows with bars.

It was cute.
How can you not stop to take a picture with smokey. We were driving by a fire station and saw this. So we pile out of the car and snap some shots. The town folk probably thought we were crazy.
I love this picture. I think they look like they are in a magical place. Here they are trying to escape the smoke monster. ( From LOST)
This of course is big foot. With a back pack...LOL
This was one of the nature creatures we saw. It is either a salamander or a newt. It was neat to come across that. We also saw a blue lizard and a black snake with a orange stripe. And we saw a ginormous dead squirrel. Other than that we didn't see anything else.
After hiking for a while we came across this bench so we took a picture. Not one of our better pictures but what can you do.
This was early on in our hike.
This was one of our views we got to see... It was soo pretty.
This is the beginning of the hike. If you haven't noticed I uploaded the pictures backwards. Oh well. It was a nice day for a hike. We ended up hiking 5 miles. That was about all the kids could handle. Hopefully they can get used to hiking and we can do more. They were funny, about an hour into the hike they were like are we there yet. There... where is there?. It was a 14 mile hike. LOL...Soon they will enjoy it more.
Oh ya.... after getting home we picked up long john silvers for the kids and we walked in the door and for those who knows my husband he yells....can you guess it....WASH YOUR HANDS... anyways they do so and eat their dinner and then we watch a movie and then they get ready for bed and feed the dogs. They hop into bed and I'm doing my Goodnight routine when I hear ouch in the softest voice. So I ask what happened why are you saying ouch.
Jake says...Nothing
I say it's OK you can tell me
Jake starts crying and saying he doesn't want to tell me... So I get a Little nervous by his response and start laughing and trying to get him to tell me what is going on. Finally after him screaming and crying and me laughing and nervous he says he thinks he has a piece of a pine cone stuck in his butt cheek.
I just about die with laughter because now I'm super nervous. I get him to show me his butt. (man that was hard) and It is not a pine cone.....it's a TICK.
When we got home he noticed it and tried to rip it out and couldn't and didn't want to tell me because he didn't want me to pull it out. So he spent all that time in pain.(I remember seeing him squirming around while we were watching the movie) So I call Phillip in cause I couldn't stop laughing (poor kid...will be traumatized) and we pull it out and do the clean up. It's a little swollen but I think he will be OK. I'm gonna call the Dr and see what needs to be done.
I also pulled the girls out of bed and checked them out...only the one tick, thank goodness!!!!

Missing

Well the other day I thought that the cat was having her babies. The next morning I went to the garage and went to hunt them down, well to my surprise i couldn't find them anywhere. I have searched for a while and this morning when took the kids to school I gave it one more search and nothing. I came home and who did I see.....That's right--a very skinny lulu. So I fed her and then I waited until she went to find them. She ended up going 2 houses down and then hopped the fence. So they are back there somewhere.
After following her I wanted to see how she escaped the garage....I found her hole. I honestly cant imagine how she fit through this tiny hole. But she did.
Point of the story--lulu had the babies...I don't know how many or what they look like or if they are even alive....But I found my cat.

Jacob wants a sibling

This is Jacob holding baby Ray. Every sneeze and every hand jerk from the baby made him die with laughter. Every time he stuck his tongue out he giggled. When the baby cried he thought that was kind of funny too. Him seeing and holding this baby made him want a little brother or a little sister. He said it didn't matter. He just wants someone to share a room with and someone to play with.
That made me feel sad, because I can't give him that. (I had my tubes tied) I was also very happy to see how much love he has to share.

So I did what any mother in my situation, I reminded him of what it would be like if we had another baby.....

Jacob, be quiet...the baby is sleeping
Jacob Get me a diaper
Jacob throw this poopy diaper away
Jacob, I said be quiet.. your gonna wake the baby
Your hungry Jacob, Well hold on I have to feed the baby.
No we can't go to the park, It's to hot for the baby.
I can't hold you right now, I'm holding the baby
Sorry Jacob, I'm to tired to play with you.

After all these reminders he instantly changed his mind. I do feel bad but he has tons of cousins, so there are plenty of kids for him to share his love with.

I have to admit though....another baby is tempting......LOL

My superman

My little guy has always loved superman... but recently we went on vacation and he saw some cowboys and he decided that he wants to be a cowboy too...

While on vacation we stopped in a little town and it had a super old store with swinging doors. Once he noticed them he insisted that I take a picture of him coming out the doors like a real cowboy...

Now he is begging for some real cowboy boots.... Maybe for his birthday.

Multiplying

When we came home from our vacation last month I noticed that our cat is very, very fat. Meaning she is pregnant.....AGAIN. So as the days went on I barely saw her. She would come every now and then and beg for some food, but other than that she had another home.

Well last night I was about to go to bed I think about 10:00 pm and i heard her screaming at the door. This is her pattern... When it is time for her to give birth that is what she does.. So I opened the door and she ran right to the exact spot where she likes to give birth and take care of her babies....MY CLOSET.

Well as we have learned the hard way, I can't let her have the babies in the house. (a couple of years ago I let her in and we had a bad, BAD, flea problem) So i put her in the garage knowing that in the morning she will have had multiplied...

So this morning I head out to see what happened and she is not in sight so....I know she had them and doesn't want to leave them...( not to mention the smell that I smell)

So today I get to dig them out and put them in a box in the bathroom....Wish me luck.
