And they're off! I can't believe the day has come. They were all so ready and really so was I, but now that i have had a minute to sit down and let it all sink in, I really just can't believe it. My oldest girl Kaelina is in 4th grade this year!! I know huh...wow. She is so excited about all these things she has been waiting to do since she was in kindergarten. the day has finally come. She can play on the big kid playground (which turns out to be the same playground that she has been playing on all along....she can just play a little bit farther out than the smaller kids.) She can sign up to play the violin....Now this is the most important thing to her....seriously i have heard violin this and violin that. I am happy that she getst to do it this year. Although --I can see that this is another thing i have to spend money on...but hey its worth it. She also gets to go to more exciting places for field trips this year. I think i have covered all the exciting things but it is only the second week of school.
My second oldest daughter is Emily. She is in 2nd grade (but my brain is really really thinking that she is in 1st grade--i keep telling everyone 1st grade) She too is excited about school but not for the same reasons. She wants to talk and play with all of her friends. She loves learning and she is very smart but really she likes school to be social. She has voiced her opinion on school yet...She does however like that this year she gets to use a binder for school.
And my boy Jacob has started kindergarten this year. He couldnt wait for the day to come. We get him to school and he is instantly Bye mom...you can wait over there for 5 mins. I say ok and of course i watch him play and make friends. He is soooo cute. He has this friend he plays with every day, and everyday i say what is your friends name... he says- i don't know. So he says Hi friend--and bye friend. He loves the teacher and he loves his time away from me like a big boy. We wake up at 6:30 for school and he wants to leave the house atleast 20 mins later.....Hope the love for school sticks!!!
So that is it for me...my kids all love that they are at school, and they love they're teacher and they love coming home to me after a day of school....
